This was rather spoiled by the open stadium venue, and the rain.
I went along as a 'plus 1' with an open mind, and a real Ed Sheeran fan; she thoroughly enjoyed the show. Although I'm familiar with some of his music, and was impressed with the way he engages with the crowd in his one man band act, by the end of his set it was all starting to sound the same - and he finished with the worst song of the night. I enjoyed the experience, despite the rain, but remain unconvinced that his style of music translates well to the big arena. I thoroughly enjoyed both of the supporting acts - these were a real treat and made the night special.
Overall, I'm glad I went, but don't feel that the entertainment received justified the very high cost of even the 'cheap seats'
